Food trucks are cool. I experienced that firsthand when I had the chance to research the Amsterdam food truck pilot for an article I wrote last fall for Mazda’s Zoom Zoom Magazine. I interviewed some very dedicated food truckers who told me about their passion for food and let me taste some of their awesome creations. Thank you, Louisiana Canteen, Everything on a  Stick, Aloha Juice and Hete Bliksem.
Today, my city hosted the Big Taste food truck festival at Esplanade square by the waterfront. A lovely location, beautiful weather (they had predicted rain and thunder, so very grateful!), music and a fab selection of tasty food.
Here are some shots from an afternoon well spent! You can see more on my Instagram Page! And in case you’re wondering what I ate — A LOT! Mezze, tabouleh, nachos, vegan avocado ice cream and every color of wine there is!

Carpenters has some serious BBQing going on! Hubby’s spare ribs looked pretty good!

We then headed to Nourrire where I had a mezze plate and a tabouleh salad. The truck is so cute with its vibrant colors!

I had a red wine while hubby waited for his spare ribs. Plastic cup, but who cares! And then I had white. And then I had rosé. 😉
